Too many women I coach have spent years struggling to integrate their business and faith.  As Christian women, we often live many compartmentalized lives.  We have one life 9-5 Monday through Friday and another in the evenings, yet another on Sunday morning.  Learning to decompartmentalize our lives is the source of great peace and joy!

In this radio interview, Christine Weber interviews Brenda Byers on the many ways we can integrate our spiritual life and our business. How do you help your clients discover their divine purpose?

We begin by helping them to discover who they are – starting with the desires of their heart (scripture says God gives us the desires of our hearts (Psalms 37:4) but first, we must know what those are.  Women have often been so focused on kids, husband, career, etc.  they are not in touch with what they truly desire, from there we help them discover their gifts, talents, learning style, their brain lead (innate energy advantage), etc.

You have a Biblically-based coach certification and coaching approach.  How do you integrate scripture into the work that you do?

Scripture is the beginning of wisdom. It moves us beyond gimmicks and quick fixes and fads to creating a true and lasting foundation for change.  Scripture is woven through everything.  Most are surprised what the bible teaches about every issue of life including our health, relationships, business, and finances.  One of my favorite things to teach is how to partner with God in Business.  Did you know the Word for work in scripture “Avodah” is the same word used for worship and service? The more we understand scripture and debunk the cultural LIES that keep us FRAGMENTED, UNFULFILLED, and in BONDAGE the more powerfully we live.

How is your approach also supported by science?

A lot of what I do is rooted in current brain science. Then there is the physiology of emotions e.g.  Most don’t understand that most sickness and symptoms have a spiritual and emotional root.

Science now shows e.g. “the molecules of emotions” discovered by Candace Pert – lead to physical changes.  E.g. bitterness and unforgiveness is not just a spiritual issue but it leads to physical dis-ease. It starts in the liver where cancer begins.  Criticism and shame tend to affect the kidneys. The amazing thing is we can now detect in certain saliva tests.
There is also an increased understanding of our feelings that radiate out from our body. Heart math has done a lot of work in this area.
What is even more amazing to me is that this is ALL in the bible written thousands of years ago!  Why verses such as. “a cheerful heart is good medicine, envy and bitterness rot the bones.” are based in the spiritual dimension and the scientific.

In the advanced part of your program, you talk about teaching your coaches how to break through their own money mindset issues.  What are some tips on how to effectively do this?

We must begin by understanding our relationship with money and learn how to break old mindsets and programing with the truth about what God says about money. As you discover and understand your financial set point and how to change that and learn how to break association with lack, discover the value you deliver you will naturally attract the abundance you desire!
